Ilona born and raised in beautiful Hungary, the SPA capital of the world. With over one thousand thermal spas located throughout the small country all focused on maintaining and restoring health, Ilona's upbringing makes her a natural in alternative healthcare in today's health conscientious environment.

Ilona graduated from the Ohio Collage of Massotherapy in Akron, Ohio. After receiving her license from the Medical Board of Ohio, Ilona invested her efforts into studies that would allow her to practice not only relaxation therapies, but to work on the pediatric level, with pregnancy, injuries, ailments, genetic and developmental disorders, and birth related injuries.

Her studies took her to China where she learned deep therapeutic massage instructed by the doctors of the Beijing Olympic Center. Her studies also took her throughout the United States and to Europe.

Ilona's training includes, Sports Massage, Tuina, Pregnancy and Infant Massage, Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Touch, Ortho Bionomy, Zero Balancing, Shiatsu, Neuromuscular Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Cupping Massage, Visceral Manipulation, Hot Stone Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and The Dorn Method.

Ilona received extensive training in Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute: Craniosacral Therapy I, II, Somato Emotional Release I, II, Craniosacral Therapy-Pediatric, Visceral Manipulation, took part in their Human Dissection course, and Ilona was invited by Dr. John Upledger to participate in his latest book, a commemoration of The Upledger Institute's twentieth anniversary titled Working Wonders, was published in 2005.

To be of greater help to women in pregnancy, Ilona completed her studies and received national certification as a Doula, working along doctors and midwives helping women through their labor and delivery. Her years of experience have allowed her to take part in many births, including water and home births.

She is trained on the pediatric level to work with the newborn when they have difficulties with colic, torticollis, those who have difficulty breast or bottle feeding, digestive problems, etc.

Ilona teaches Infant Massage to parents at a local hospital.

As a medical massage therapist she is able to work with patients after surgery to help them to a more complete and quicker recovery, Open-heart surgery, organ transplants, during ongoing cancer treatments, hip and knee replacements, severe anemia, reconstruction due to disease and after cosmetic surgeries. Nerve damage from injuries or disease. Muscular injuries, neck and shoulder complications, facial injuries, disorders of TMJ, pelvic pain, sciatica, Bell's palsy, etc.

Ilona's latest commitment includes studying The Dorn Method, a therapy developed in Germany and widely used in Europe. At Ilona's invitation the German instructors taught the first Dorn Method USA class held in Westlake, Ohio. It is now an annual event alternating between the USA and Germany, in order to make this valuable therapy available to more US therapists.
